Eleftheria Avramidou is a Sports Science and Physical Education graduate of Leeds Metropolitan University (UK) and University of Athens (Greece). She is qualified Instructor/Examiner for baby/pre-school swimming, lifesaving, lifeguarding, water safety, spinal injury management, defibrillation, first aid, and personal survival at sea of internationally recognized organizations (STA, ASA, SLSA GB) having work experience/education from 8 countries. She authored various publications (including books, DVDs, conference proceedings, peer reviewed journals, and magazine articles) about sport psychology, accident prevention, aquatics and water safety. She has been 25 times Panhellenic winner in Swimming (Olympiakos Pireaus) and Fin Swimming (Vouliagmeni). .
During her life Eleftheria has been awarded numerous time with several prestigous awards for her contributions to aquatics. Among them, she has been honoured with the "Unbelievable Achievements" award (Leeds Metropolitan University, UK, 2001), "Diploma Award" (RLSS Commonwealth, 2005), "Best Project Award" (Greece, 2004), "Friend of the Society" (UK, 2004), "Award of Voluntary Teaching" (UK, 2001), "Best Lifeguard" (USA, 2002), "Lifeguard of the Month" (Cyprus, 1998), "My First Rescue" (Greece, 2004), "Best Attitude" (TEFAA, Athens University, 2006), "Most Disciplined Swimmer" (TEFAA, Athens University, 2006), 4 awards for contribution to Swimming (Olympiakos) and Fin Swimming (Nautical Club of Vouliagmeni).
